Community Involvement
The Obama administration is really encouraging people to get involved with their communities. Such activity not only helps out your local community, personal interaction is the best way to encourage people towards metrication (and letting their representatives know they want metric measures).
You can get involved through Community Organize or just getting in touch with a local community group.
There's also an Organizing for America conference call tomorrow night to discuss the economic recovery (18:30 PST / 19:30 MST / 20:30 CST / 21:30 EST). Fill in the form and they will call you when the meeting starts.
For those in the San Francisco Bay Area, there's a meeting this Sunday from 14:00 - 16:30 (sign in from 13:30) at SEIU 1021 office in Oakland: 155 Myrtle St. Oakland, CA 94607. If you're going, please let them know via Community Organize or My Barack Obama. There are almost certainly similar meetings going on in other parts of the country, if you know of one, please add it to the comments on this post or post to the forum.
