If a bill crosses your desk and uses our antiquated customary units instead of metric, please send it back to congress with a request to change it into round metric units (e.g. fuel efficiency of 40 MPG should instead be expressed as 5.8 L/100 km (or use the opportunity to do more for our environment and express it as 5.5 L/100 km)). Finishing the transition to completely metric units is something that's long overdue and leadership from The White House and Congress is required to make it happen.You too can send a similar message via the White House feedback form
