Finally back from overseas travels. Unfortunately work kept me quite busy so there's been little time for site updates.

I use the OmniFocus tool for my iPhone as I find it very useful for keeping track of all the stuff I need to do. Unfortunately, it's got a few issues with distances and date formats. Here's the letter I wrote to them:

I love OmniFocus for the iPhone, but I also love internationalized standards. The nearby feature gives the distance in miles. Many of us in the USA prefer metric and everyone outside the USA uses metric exclusively. Can you please change the distance for "Near Me" to use metric?

I would also love to see the date format changed to use ISO8601 format (yyyy-mm-dd) instead of mm/dd/yy as I travel a lot and flipping between date formats constantly is very inconvenient (if I'm not in the USA, the date format all around me is either yyyy-mm-dd or dd/mm/yyyy so seeing things that are in mm/dd/yy format (especially when it says something like 04/05/08) leads to confusion).

If you use an OmniGroup product, please write to them. The more of us who do, the more likely they'll make the change.
