If you've done something to promote metrication this week, add it to this post (better to add to the main content than comments).
Paul Armstrong
- Taught measurement class at daughters daycare (all metric, of course)
- Mailed several stores asking about metric only products for teaching
- Posted about NCAA and the ability to donate to the USMA via Facebook
- As usual, continued to wear shirts promoting or teaching metric (and even got some positive comments back)
- My daughter brought home a bear from school that has a diary. So we took it's vital statistics and posted them into the journal for the teachers to read out in class (262g, 34cm high).
- Met Stefan and Julien (who are both also interested in metrication) at the climbing gym I go to. Julien (who spends a lot of time dealing with plans written in both metric and US customary) has agreed to log how much time is wasted dealing with conversions and conversion errors. I'm thinking some sort of form on this site might be a good way for many people to do this so we can gain more data on the costs.
This week I'm going to MIT and to visit the Cambridge office.
Anyone interested in metrication going to be near MIT Wed-Sat?
