Calling Senators and Representatives
Decided to call my 3 federal representatives and senators today. Representative Anna Eshoo, Senator Barbara Boxer and Senator Dianne Feinstein. Unfortunately, they were all in Washington but I was able to leave a message for each of them.
Representative Eshoo's secretary promised that she'd get back to me in writing.
Senator Boxers lines were all full and I had to leave a voicemail.
Senator Feinstein's secretary was a bit cagey about whether or not I'd get a response but did take my address after a bit of prodding.
So, for 15 minutes of my time, I've let my representatives know how I feel and will hopefully get back a written statement from each of them on their stance with respect to metrication, the FPLA and pennies.
http://congress.org will provide you with the phone numbers and mailing addresses for your representatives and congress folk. Take a few minutes to call them today.
